The League Of Friends of Ilkeston Community Hospital was established in 1960. It has provided continuous support to the hospital from that time. The enthusiasm of its membership to provide a service to patients, staff and visitors has enabled the League to give significant help through the purchase of equipment and items that enhance patients' well-being and aid positive clinical outcomes.
We carry on with our contribution by using funds raised from our on-site services offered at Smiley's cafe, Ted's shop and the sale of donated goods. Donations and Legacies are a vital income source as is the revenue generated from the generous Ilkeston area public when they support our community events.
We are an energetic, voluntary organisation dedicated to raising funds for our charity and continually aim to expand our fundraising and community activities.
Applications from new members are welcome.
Quote from Mat Hallam, Diagnostic Treatment Centre Manager.
You've got to sell a lot of cups of tea to be able to provide the level of support that the League Of Friends gives us.
