The operating suite at Ilkeston Community Hospital has reopened. Following enhancements made to the £2 million of improvement works completed in July.
Located within the Diagnostic Treatment Centre, the suite is comprised of two laminar flow theatres and a minor operations room, treating around 3,000 patients every year across a huge range of specialities, including general surgery, ophthalmology, upper and lower limb orthopaedics, urology, ENT, gynaecology and more.
This improved facility will help futureproof ICH theatre facilities for years to come. Ilkeston area people will now benefit from a wide range of surgical procedures, completed in their local community hospital.
This facility is an area of continuous investment by the League.
