LEAGUE OF FRIENDS FUNDS FURTHER EQUIPMENT AT ILKESTON COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

The League have been delighted to fund the provision of further equipment to the hospital during late 2024, specifically for the benefit of the Theatre Suites . The items in question are a powerful theatre light, S lighting, needed to provide a shadow-free environment,  necessary for intricate operations. Additionally,  mesher and dermatome machines have been bought to aid positive skin cancer surgery outcomes. A mobile C-Arm fluroscanner is the latest item provided by the League, which is vital for delivering X-rays before wrist and ankle surgeries.

By providing equipment, the League continue to demonstrate their commitment to support Ilkeston Hospital's efforts to provide first-class local healthcare,

Theatre manager, Matthew Hallam, is pictured being presented with the equipment by League members Mike Lathbury and Carole Golds alongside our Chair Jill Schmidt.
