The ophthalmology department at Ilkeston Community Hospital has benefited from the League's purchase of a new piece of equipment for the visual diagnostic clinic. The new computerised ‘Lens Metre’ allows for an accurate and immediate test of a patient’s eyes, aiding diagnosis and ongoing treatment. The photograph shows hospital staff members Caroline Woods and Julie Tuckwood, together with several members of the League, who are delighted to fund this important piece of equipment.
