We have recently established regular music therapy sessions on Heanor Ward.
The enterprise, a League of Friends initiative, combines live music with chair-based physical activity has been trialled and received positive feedback from patients and staff. It is being fully funded by the League.
The first of the Friday afternoon sessions have been hosted by two well-known local entertainers, Bob Stokes and Terry Mundy. Their respective repertoires were met with much foot-tapping, arm-waving and singing along to familiar 50s & 60s tunes
