Our on site facilities
Our services at the Ilkeston Hospital, available to patients, visitors and staff are exclusively operated by our volunteer team.
Our shop, affectionately known as 'Teds' is well-stocked supplying newsprint, magazines, confectionery, snacks, drinks and some donated items. it is so-called in memory of Ted Naylor, who successfully managed the shop for many years.
Donated goods are made available periodically when items, generously given by the Ilkeston area public, are offered for sale.
Hot drinks, taken whilst sitting comfortably at a table are available at our cafe in the hospital's main reception area. Snacks are again available together with filled rolls and cakes. This area also has a moniker, Smileys, named as a tribute to Stephen Harrison. Stephen was a long-standing patient of the hospital. The Harrison family donated money for this area to be re-modelled and it was re-opened in his honour.
